Counted on your phone

Real reps.
Real rivals.

Send a friend a number. The camera counts only the clean reps — and settles it.

How a duel works

  • Video never leaves your phone
  • Counts in airplane mode
  • No account needed to try it
  • No ads, ever

If it’s not sure, it doesn’t count.

iPhone & Android

An animation of two phones side by side. Each is running Beastie: a skeleton drawn over the camera feed, a live count of clean push-ups, and a scoreboard against the rival. A rep that doesn’t reach depth turns orange and isn’t counted. The duel ends 8–7 and both phones show the verdict.

No ghost reps

Half a push-up
is not a push-up.

Every rep-counting app has the same problem: it counts what you tell it. Beastie watches the angle of your elbows and the line of your hips, and a rep that doesn’t reach depth doesn’t go on the board. You still see it happen — it just doesn’t score.

Clean

Chest down, arms locked out

Elbows past the depth line and hips in a straight line with the shoulders. That one is banked, and it’s the number your rival has to beat.

1 counted
Didn’t reach depth

Hips sagging, elbows short

The limb that broke turns orange while you’re still in it, and Beastie says which one. You get the correction mid-rep, not a lecture afterwards.

How a duel works

Four steps.
About sixty seconds.

A duel is a number and a deadline. Everything else is your phone doing the counting so neither of you has to take the other’s word for it.

1

Call someone out

Pick a move and a number. It goes out as a link — your friend doesn’t need the app, and doesn’t need an account to accept.

2

Prop the phone up

Lean it against something solid. Beastie checks the tilt and your framing first, and won’t start counting until it can actually see you.

Before it counts
  • Phone on the floor in front of you, about an arm’s length
  • Whole body in frame · head, shoulders and hands
  • Enough light to see your outline
3

Do the reps

Everything is sized to be read from six feet away, because that’s where you are. The count is huge, the form colour is unmistakable, and Beastie says it out loud too.

On screen, mid-set
  • A rep counts when you reach depth — not when you bounce past it
  • A broken limb turns orange while you can still fix it
  • Stop moving for twelve seconds and it finishes for you
4

Settle it

Both of you get the same receipt: clean reps, form score, best streak. Then rematch with one tap, roles reversed.

On your device

The video never leaves your phone.

Not a setting you can switch off by accident, and not a promise about a server. The pose model runs on the phone itself, so there is nothing to upload and nothing to leak.

Processed here

Frame by frame, on the handset

Every frame is analysed on your device and discarded. No video is uploaded. No video is stored. No photos are kept.

Works offline

No signal needed to count

A set counts with the phone in airplane mode. Only the score travels, and only when you finish a duel.

What we keep

Numbers, not footage

Your rep counts, form scores and duel record — the things a scoreboard needs. Nothing that could identify a room or a face.

Three moves

Three exercises,
counted properly.

Chosen because they can be counted reliably from a propped phone: full body in frame, big movements, honest angles. A flaky counter is worse than a small one, so we’d rather do three well than twelve badly. More are on the way as they pass the same bar.

Solo

Worth opening on a quiet day

Nobody has challenged you? Pick a move and get an honest count. Your personal bests and your streak move either way.

Streaks

Pause, never break

Miss a day and your streak waits for you. It is a record of what you did, not a stick to beat you with.

No points

No XP, no gems, no levels

Progress is your rep records and your win column. There is no invented currency, because a number you can’t explain isn’t progress.

Beastie, a small green monster, doing a push-up

Your move, beastie.

Solo when nobody’s around. A duel when they are.
