Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Some US states, including Washington (the My Health My Data Act) and Nevada, protect “consumer health data” — information that could reveal something about a person’s physical health. Beastie is a fitness game, not a health service, and it keeps the most sensitive things on your phone. But some of what it stores about your workouts could be read as health data, so this page describes exactly what that is. It adds to our Privacy Policy; it does not replace it. Beastie is made by 3D Reality Labs LLC.

What we collect that this page covers

• Your sets. Which exercise (push-ups, squats or jumping jacks), how many reps the camera counted, how many were clean, a form score, how long the set took and when you did it.
• A rep-by-rep summary of each set. For each rep: how long it took, whether it counted as clean, and which form notes fired (such as “not low enough”). No body positions, no coordinates, no images.
• Your plan, if you use one. Its goal type (more reps in one set, more in total, or all-round), exercises, sessions a week and finish line, and how each session went (sets planned and done, and whether the plan moved up, held or stepped down).

What we never collect

No video, photos or frames: the camera is analysed on your phone and nothing from it leaves except the counts above. Your age, sex, height, weight and body goal, if you give them, stay on your phone and are never sent to us; the calorie estimate is worked out on your phone too. No location, no health-app data, and no advertising identifier.

Why we collect it

To provide the app you asked for: counting your reps, keeping your records and streaks, settling duels fairly (a duel result can be checked against the rep summary), and running your plan. We also use it, in our own database, to understand which parts of the app get used and to make counting more accurate.

Where it comes from

From you and your phone: the counts the app works out on your device while you exercise, and the choices you make in the app.

Who it is shared with

• The person you duel, at your request: your handle and your score for that duel. Nothing else.
• Our service providers, who process it only on our behalf: Supabase, which hosts our database, and Expo, which relays a push notification (such as a rival’s score) if you allow notifications.

We do not sell consumer health data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use geofencing.

Your rights

• See it. Settings → Export my data gives you a copy, or email us to confirm what we hold.
• Delete it. Settings → Delete account removes your account and all of the above from our database at once, or email us.
• Withdraw consent to anything you consented to, such as notifications, at any time in your phone’s settings or in the app.
